The thousand orchards to be implanted will be composed of fruit trees native to the region, with the objective of recovering and strengthening the cultivation of plant species originating in the Atlantic Forest.
Fruit species, a central element of the orchards and central to this proposal, permeate forest restoration plantations and agroforestry systems that will also be enriched or constituted by fruit species from the Atlantic Forest. The Atlantic Forest Orchards are also widely presented to society and disseminated in the territory through the dissemination of knowledge and promotion of the cultivation of fruit species of the Atlantic Forest through the promotion of the constitution of the Orchards of the Forest.
