The Atlantic Forest Pomares Project not only counts on the participation of the execution team, but also places rural communities and schools benefiting from the project as the main actors of the activities to be carried out. The project has agricultural communities as fundamental partners in the process of valuing the forest biodiversity of the Atlantic Forest. We work in rural communities in the Hileia Baiana region (north of Espírito Santo and south of Bahia) with the aim of reconciling preservation and income generation.

Pomares da Mata Atlântica carries out socio-educational actions and builds awareness of sensitization and strengthens the connection of people with the forest in 8 rural schools. The intent is designed for students, teachers and the entire school community in 1-year education processes.
